This is an instrumental piece, featuring the piano. It's contemporary classical in style, and was written after a conversation with a friend who had recently gone through a number of devastating experiences that involved the loss of relationship, livelihood and finances. I wrote this as a sort of response to this deep sadness that he was going through. Interestingly, it wasn't long after I wrote this song that the world encountered the Corona Virus. The song has a sense of lament and deep sadness to it, and I think that it is timely for what we are going though right now in our world.
